Product life cycle: from the cradle to life-extending measures

We use LCD displays in our operating panels, which are primarily used in the industrial sector. These displays do not have the typical short product cycles of the consumer market and are therefore available for longer. For you, this means that the LCD displays, including a “last time buy”, are typically available for longer than 5 years - 10 years is not uncommon.

As a general rule, we can also equip our operating panels with other suitable replacement displays beyond the period of availability of a particular display without having to change the programming of the customer application. This is easily possible because the software protocol of the interface can remain the same, even if details of the hardware have to change. As all LCM modules use the same protocol on the software side, you not only get better planning security for your product, but also the flexibility to switch between the individual LCM modules as desired.
